The state that is yet to be awakened determines our reality.

It’s is that which sits in our subconscious that we create in our life.

What is it that sits in the unexamined recesses of our mind that will play a hand in the unfolding..?

If we are unaware of our narrative, regardless it will become our story .

This quote and all the wisdom it embodies neatly summerises my spiritual and personal growth of recent years. It was the limiting beliefs, trauma and adapted coping mechanisms that I wasn’t aware of that played out in the patterns of my life, particularly relationships with men.

While in active addiction it was the disowned shadow self that was running the show of my life.

Now I try in earnest to accept and love all parts of me. I do the work to understand what is sitting in the unconscious and bringing it into the conscious to play or change.

Intentionally creating a meaningful life means committing to waking up and living with eyes wide open. It also means taking responsibility. If a pattern is playing out in my life and it’s a pattern, the common denominator is me, yep little ole me that that needs changing, not the circumstances or actors in the show of my life. Although naturally as I’m aware I think and act differently and these external aspects will all change.

The gifts of growth ahhh, it’s not easy though, many of these gifts come via being broken wide open, through falling down, breaking down, bruises, scars and tears . The results though are a blossoming, awakening, joy, deep connection and freedom.

Give me a beautiful people if suffering, the dark nights of the soul or tragedy has brought you into a more beautiful existence.
