Rebuilding relationships and life are difficult – both parties have to face the animosity and distrust that drove you apart in the first place. Many relationships fall apart in times of distance and difficulty. Deciding to rebuild your relationship is a positive first step but you’ll need to be prepared because the road to repair might be a long one.
Rebuilding relationships and life is not a straightforward process
Both sides must ask themselves what they really need and not expect their partner to simply know what it is they want. I have so many memories of watching these waves from what was to be my honeymoon spot high on the cliff with my x-fiancé years ago to recently with my x-lover down by the shore. So much beauty, love, pain.
The broken palace — What life looks like without the editing.
Broken dreams lead me back here, to Bali to this same stretch of ocean to where recently I watched the beauty, raw energy, fierceness, and flow of the waves and the storms. I believe that those who have walked the path filled with broken promises and shattered dreams are the ones who arise with the strongest wings. Even if you have broken dreams, don’t lose hope! Have faith and know that every experience in life always brings something good with it.
I love how the missteps in life lead me to more love and deeper love with my Bali family and soul sister.
Rivers of water ran down the cliff and escaped back out into the ocean. When I first started drafting this post in my head, it was one of the missteps in new love, but it is now a story of a loss of what we thought the love of seeing what was a bright sunny sky erupts into a storm and what was powerful energy subside back into the ocean again.
Life and love are like the ocean – they ebb and flow, peak, and subside.
Though true love is not so fickle, it endures the storm. Life is like an ocean. It can be calm or still, and rough or rigid, but in the end, it is always beautiful. Just because you fail once, does not mean that you’re gonna fail at everything. I’m grateful for being welcomed into the broken palace, of beautiful experiences, growth, and being able to walk away from anything less than an honoring of the highest vision of love.
To my beautiful friends and family
Sometimes I forget to thank the people who make my life so happy in so many ways. I just wanna say that I adore you and appreciate your love and support but no need to message me, I am all good and cocooned in a bubble of love and support always here in Bali and globally. Bali is more than a place.. it’s a mood, it’s magical. It’s a tropical state of mind.
Experiences are gifts to be shared so we can all connect in our shared humanity of love and loss, near misses, mistakes, and wins.
I only share my story so that anyone else who is viewing all the shiny posts on Instagram, can see more of what’s real and feel less alone. Make sure you’re happy in real life, not just for the internet. No matter where you are in life, celebrate it. It’s either a product of your growth or a place that will help you grow. Cheers to today.
