Yoga off the Mat
It’s my pleasure to welcome my dear friend and yogi goddess Sarah Barnes onto the show today. Based in the UK now, I actually know Sarah from her time in Bali and have known her from when she initially undertook her yoga teacher training and have watched her personal growth and wisdom grow and blossom so beautifully in the course of the last year alone. If you are a yogi that believes in yoga off the mat, you will love love this episode of the show.
So let me share with you a little more about Sarah..
About the Guest
Sarah is Yoga is a meditation teacher, Slow Fashion Ambassador, Workshop Facilitator & Interview Host and has a background in fashion.
Her mission is to share yoga beyond the confines of the yoga studio. As she believes, and to quote her – “Yoga is a lifestyle and a more harmonious way of approaching culture and social dynamics”.
“Yoga’s ethics and values system can be applied to business environmentalism, plant-based diet & food choices, politics, slow fashion, Yogic Consumerism and more.”
The most important message that Sarah shares is; ‘Yoga should not be contained to the mat’. The rich teachings and ethical grounding it offers are designed to be bought into the ‘real world’. Sarah applies her knowledge to activism, workshops, masterclasses, event organisation, teaching both virtually and online) and spreads tools of education for self-empowerment.
So wonderful to have Sarah on the show today. And to be reminded today of the importance of yoga off the mat.
